L'INTERNATIONAL DES FEUX LOTO-QUEBEC 2009: FUEGOS ARTIFICIALES JUPITER (ARGENTINA)

from argentina,
gave us a splendid presentation last night.
yeah,
they had technical difficulties,
forcing them to delay the show.
i insist on ponctuality...
i was not especially thrilled with some of their musical selection,
but there was a live performance,
which is unusual,
& i've liked that very much.
at least,
they had the merit of giving us
something with local flair,
stepping away from more commercial music.
the show lacked a steady rythm,
as there were a few lulls,
& in a halfhour show,
this is not really acceptable.
but the good news is,
when the show was on a roll,
it was an amazing show,
like large bouquets of exotic flowers
bursting in the sky,
impressing us with the shapes & colors.
worth seeing,
even if it wasn't perfect.
:)~

BTW:
don't look for last week's presentation,
by the chinese team,
as i was out-of-town that day...

The display was late starting due to problems with a boat putting the floating platform for the live singer in place - so don't blame the Argentinian team for this! Last week's Chinese display started early due to the weather. Sometimes things are just outside your control.

@ PaulM:
i was well aware of the nature of their problem,
& this should have been rehearsed properly to assess all risks...
therefore, i stand by my point.
ponctuality is a virtue. consider me stubborn.

It is a virtue, but it was the La Ronde crew's fault, not the Argentinian team - so I stand by mine :)

It was funny a few years ago when the German team had to start late ... definitely went against their cultural grain.
