i waited to be impressed,
always hopeful...
the cirque du soleil NEVER failed to impress me,
even when i saw those shows numerous times.

any suburb city could have provided better entertainment.

The display was clearly designed for the audience at La Ronde and not the people on the banks of the river nor on the bridge. Fiatlux specialize in close-proximity pyrotechnics and that was the slant they used last Saturday. Definitely unfortunate for those not in the grandstands, but the show itself was not as bad nor boring as it is being portrayed. Now, if I was in charge, would I have accepted that kind of show? Probably not, but, unfortunately for the people not at La Ronde, I'm not in charge :)

well, it's a shame, given the kind of venue la ronde is, very democratic as people gather around to watch. i missed something else for this, thinking it would be amazing...crap!! it would have been another competitor, that i wouldn't have given them an award, but it would have been somewhat ok... (somewhat!!) but as an hommage to the cirque du soleil, i had expectations, & they weren't met, at any level. i may be the only one feeling this way, but it doesn't change the way i feel about that evening...
how about we put you in charge?!?
