TICKLEBEAR'S SUGGESTIONS FOR HALLOWEEN

Photo Sharing and File Hosting at Badongo.com

halloween is coming
& you're in the mood to watch something special.
well,
i'll give you a few suggestions.
i don't give into the gore, blood & guts all over the walls,
but i dig moods & intricacies,
& a few scares on occasions,
so,
here goes:

THE MIST
what happens when people think doomsday may have arrived?
will they treat each others with decency,
or will they slip into hysteria.
the f/x in this movie are alright,
but the focus is truly on human interaction,
& the ending is sadistic...
:)~

THE CELL
to enter the mind of a psychopath
to find in his mind
where he keeps hidden
his last victim,
whom might still be alive?
this movie is visually stimulating,
the intrigue is good
& i had a great time watching this.
let's just say
i've worked in the past
caring for psychiatric patients,
& the meanders of their minds
have always intrigued me.
this is a sick version of what it could be,
but well delivered.
:)~

SILENT HILL
a couple has adopted a child
caught up in her nightmares.
the mother decides to follow the lead,
& take her daughter
where the nightmares seem to come from.
the ambiance in this movie
is eerily creepy,
the suspense is there,
visually well done.
i find there's a somewhat mysoginistic aspect to this,
but it was nonetheless one of my favorites that year.
the soundtrack is most efficient.

NOSFERATU (1922)
a silent movie
that has kept well over time.
if vampires is your thing,
that's it.
a classic!!!
:)~

THE SIXTH SENSE
a detective tries to help a child
who sees dead people.
nicely done,
& the ending is thrilling.
to see & see again!!
:)~

FINAL DESTINATION
(all of the franchise)
if you like to laugh
watching horrible situations happen,
this series offer good entertainment.
it's just silly good fun.
:)~

so,
there you have it.
the kind of movies i like
comes halloween night.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!
& good rentals!!
MOU_hahahahahahahahaha!!!
