L'INTERNATIONAL DES FEUX LOTO-QUEBEC 2009: ROYAL PYROTECHNIE (QUEBEC)

ROYAL PYROTECHNIE,

from quebec,

did us proud tonight,

as they presented something totally ravishing.

musically speaking,

they were all over the place...

but it was charming.

visually now...

the show was called "& VOILA!!",

and voila indeed!!!

just like a glass of champagne,

it had sparkles,

it was seductive & festive all at once.

a great show.

my only regret is the wind

that was pushing the fumes towards me

too often,

carrying an odd smell...

not really that odd,

all things considered.

:D~

they played well on both front,

over the lake & up in the sky.

at one point,

i felt i could see a golden forest over the lake,

midway in the show.

afterwards,

a cannonade playfully followed the music,

to be followed by beautiful fountains.

also,

huge dandelions in the sky.

really,

there was plenty to fill your eyes up

with dreamy visions.

i've really enjoyed this,

despite the fume.

congrats to the team!!

L'INTERNATIONAL DES FEUX LOTO-QUEBEC 2009: FUEGOS ARTIFICIALES JUPITER (ARGENTINA)

FUEGOS ARTIFICIALES JUPITER,

from argentina,

gave us a splendid presentation last night.

yeah,

they had technical difficulties,

forcing them to delay the show.

i insist on ponctuality...

i was not especially thrilled with some of their musical selection,

but there was a live performance,

which is unusual,

& i've liked that very much.

at least,

they had the merit of giving us

something with local flair,

stepping away from more commercial music.

the show lacked a steady rythm,

as there were a few lulls,

& in a halfhour show,

this is not really acceptable.

but the good news is,

when the show was on a roll,

it was an amazing show,

like large bouquets of exotic flowers

bursting in the sky,

impressing us with the shapes & colors.
worth seeing,

even if it wasn't perfect.

by the chinese team,

as i was out-of-town that day...

leave it to aussies

to know how to throw a party.

the folks from FOTI INTERNATIONAL FIREWORKS

dazzled us with DREAMCATCHERS,

an upbeat show ever so colorful.

they even managed to make olivia's xanadu look totally glam,

looking like a grand finale in itself,

but it was far from being over.

from dance music to a bit of rock,

& a magical moment over the music of harry potter.

over all,

an excellent show.
